How have you benefited from your service in the Navy Reserve?
I am proud of my service with the Navy Reserve. While I enjoyed active duty, being in the Navy Reserve allows me to maintain my commitment to the U.S. Armed Forces while being able to achieve my college and community goals. The Navy Reserve has taught me the professional development and time management skills needed to help me with all that I wish to accomplish.
Why did you choose to join the Navy Reserve?
After I was honorably discharged from active duty, I felt that there was something missing. I enjoyed my new life as a civilian, but it lacked the kind of fulfillment being in the Navy brought me. I am glad I have joined the Reserve I have found commitment to the Navy Reserve to be deeply rewarding and am glad that I am able to serve again in a part-time capacity.
In my Navy…
the challenges of an ever changing fleet are met with the professionalism and pride of well-trained Sailors.
