How have you benefited from your service in the Navy Reserve?
The Navy Reserve has allowed me to proudly continue my family’s legacy of military service while remaining close to my home and family. My Navy experience helped me to improve and accelerate my education and civilian career in the healthcare field, as well as expand my ability to give back to my community.
Why did you choose to join the Navy Reserve?
The main reason I joined the Navy was to follow in my family’s footsteps into the Corpsman community; my grandfather first blazed this path, then my father. I also joined to obtain additional help in funding my education. By joining the Reserve, I was able to continue my family’s legacy as a Corpsman, attend school close to home, and gain valuable medical skills and training.
In my Navy…
A number of things have changed throughout my years of service. However, one thing that has remained constant is the pride and dedication that both Sailors and their families have in serving our country’s Navy.
