How have you benefited from your service in the Navy Reserve?

The Navy Reserve allowed me to use the skills learned on active duty and improve my knowledge in medicine at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas as well as helped me to become a well-rounded medical professional. The Navy Reserve also has given me great mentors to learn from and they have helped me shape my own quality of leadership. I am able to pass down knowledge and share my experiences with students of impoverished communities through the UNLV Buddies program.

Why did you choose to join the Navy Reserve?

I chose to join the Navy Reserve because it allowed me to continue my career in the military while raising my marketability by earning a degree. The reserve force allowed me to stay Navy while being committed to my family and education.

In my Navy…

We learn from each other.  We continue to grow from our experiences and friendships established throughout our career.
