Spotlight Highlight

LTJG Caroline Campbell serves on Lutheran Medical Center’s Education & Research Committee and is certified as a Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) nurse.

How have you benefited from your service in the Navy Reserve?

The Navy Reserve has allowed me to expand my nursing career by giving me educational opportunities beyond that of the civilian sector. It has helped me to gain experience in public health nursing, telemetry nursing and nurse leadership. Most importantly, it has allowed me to serve my country in my highest capacity, as a critical care nurse.

Why did you choose to join the Navy Reserve?

I joined the Navy Reserve because I wanted to further enhance my career in the ICU step-down unit that I currently work in as a civilian. I also knew it would give me a chance to travel. One of my Navy Reserve career goals is to deploy to the Middle East and use my critical care nursing skills to serve the troops fighting on the front line.

In my Navy…

we are accountable to ourselves and each other.  Our shipmates are our family.
